Re: Casino Gambling
At the October 19, 2006, Board meeting, the Preservation Coalition of Erie County passed a resolution to oppose casino gambling in downtown Buffalo.
We also voted to send a letter to the Secretary of the Interior on our own letterhead, citing the harmful effects of a sovereign nation owning land in downtown Buffalo, exempt from our building codes, historic districts or landmark protections, and citing the negative economic effects of casino gambling.
